Expressions of Interest sought for World University Games teams

Australian University Sport in conjunction with Basketball Australia is now calling for Expressions of Interest from male and female basketball athletes who would like to compete as members of the Australian Team(s) at the World University Games.

The 2009 World University Summer Games will be conducted in Belgrade, Serbia from 1st – 12th July 2009.

Basketball Australia and Australian University Sport hope to carry on the success of the Australian teams from previous years; the Australian Women’s University team won gold at the 2007 games.

 

To be eligible, male and female athletes must be:

 

·         Australian Citizens;

·         Proceeding towards a diploma or higher at TAFE or University;

·         Aged between 17 and 25 years old; and

·         Willing and able to adhere to athlete Eligibility, By-Laws and Anti Doping Policy/Rules.

Interested athletes should complete the attached form and return it to Basketball Australia by no later than Friday 6th March 2009.
