Wolrd Record Attempt BE THERE

Basketball Australia in conjunction with Basketball Victoria are organising an attempt on the World Record for people dribbling basketballs simultaneously and we need your help to make it successful.

This will take place on Tuesday 7 April from 12:30pm to 2:30pm in Melbourne’s Federation Square.

An attempt will be made to better the mark of 1,289 people currently recognised by the Guinness World Records book set on 17 May 2007 in Edinburgh.

It is free to participate and open to everyone.  This is an opportunity for people of all abilities to participate wheelchair athletes, athletes with hearing impairment, athletes with integration difficulties, it’s open to all.  So encourage your school friends, family, friends and work associates to join us on the day.

All registered participants will receive a certificate after the event that will also include a group photo of the record breakers. You just need to bring a basketball.

There will be random prizes and giveaways for the participants as well as live entertainment on the day. Opals and Boomers players will also be present for an autograph signing session.
